Epcot - Disney World
This park is full of tons of attractions and things to do that will keep you busy all day. If you read my previous entry, you could probably see how lengthy it was. 'Cause there's a lot of stuff to talk about at Magic Kingdom. You will probably also notice that the font is a little too small (haha, oops) so I'm making sure I fix that right now, lol. So, anyway, lets get into it. Epcot is an awesome opportunity to visit lots of "countries" in one night! Where else can you go from Japan to Canada and then to Germany in about 45 minutes? No where. That's why Epcot gives you some many cool things to do that you will never want to leave, unless going to Magic Kingdom. If I had to rate this park on a scale from one to ten, it would probably score a seven. I might have made it sound a little overrated above. But, getting back to the point, let's look at what makes this park as awesome as it is.
Oh, and by the way, it annoys me that so many people think that is a golf ball. I'm sorry, but how does that make sense? No. It is not a golf ball. It is called "Spaceship Earth." Yeah, I don't really get it either. Well, anyway, let me get to some of the rides. There aren't nearly as many as Magic Kingdom, but that doesn't mean they're any less entertaining. Let me start with a ride located in Norway: Maelstrom.
Most people haven't even heard of this ride because it's kind of tucked away. But, it's pretty cool. I don't think I have even rode this ride. But, I promise you, it's cool. Wow, that was a lame description! Anyway, let's move onto a more popular ride. A ride that makes your cheeks flare back against your faces. Yes, you guessed it, it's Mission: SPACE.
Oh, and by the way, that's not what really happens on this ride. It's just a simulation, I promise. Even though, it is extremely realistic. Well, that is Disney for ya. So this ride crams you into a pod, "a rocket," and blasts you into space and onto... Mars? I should check on that, but yeah, you're blasted into space in this very crammed space. I highly recommend not going on this if you're claustrophobic. Back to the point, this ride is truly awesome. In addition, what's really cool is that they have a mild Mission: SPACE so that if you think you cannot take all the G-force from this thrilling ride, you can go on an exact replica with a limited amount of that cherished force that drives your cheeks back and almost make you vomit (heehee). But yeah, this is a really cool ride that I haven't really seen anything like it anywhere else. Okay, now let's move on to a ride that really flies you high. This is a ride that everyone favors and really makes you feel like you are soaring. That's right, it's Soarin'.
This ride truly takes your breath away. Starting above the clouds, you fly over tons of internationally known bridges, over oceans, mountains, and even Disney World at the end! Dangle your feet and put up your arms as you soar through America and all that it's beauty has to offer. Then inhale through your nostrils to discover the sweet aroma of oranges as you fly right above an orange field! Experience waves below your feet as you almost reach the water right below you! This ride is just so unbelievable - words can't begin to describe how great it is and the feeling you get when you're on it. This ride definitely describes Disney - going above and beyond to give your visitors an experience that will last a lifetime. Alright, now let's go to a ride recently tampered with to look futuristic and even better than it's original realm. Test Track.
Doesn't look familiar? That's because Disney Imagineers just recently adjusted this ride to look futuristic and even better than it used to be. Lets compare:
From This
To This
Yeah, big difference, right? Well, I think, personally, it was better before. With Disney, you have all these futuristic things that look awesome and all, but it's good to have a little diversity here and there. I think Test Track doesn't even fit the name of the new one. What are you testing? In the old one it actually looks like a car that would be tested with things that represent roads and signs that you would see on a highway. I believe it is cooler now, but I think it was just better before. Just me though. Well, those are the rides I wanted to fully explain and show. Now, let me move on to some more minor attractions.
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros - Take in the sights of Mexico and antics of the 3 feathered amigos on this gentle boat ride through the Mexico Pavilion.
Journey Into Imagination With Figment - Figment the playful, purple dragon is your guide on this whimsical tour of the Imagination Institute.
Living with the Land - Sail through the greenhouses of The Land Pavilion and behold 9-pound lemons, Mickey-shaped pumpkins, and more!
Sea Base - Descend beneath the waves to explore the magic and mystery of life under the sea!
The Seas with Nemo & Friends - Frolic with a colorful cast of undersea characters in this attraction based on Disney-Pixar's Finding Nemo.
Spaceship Earth - Enter the iconic geosphere and explore the history of communications, from the Stone Age to the computer age. K, now let's get into the shows and most important: things to see. That is what most of Epcot is about especially with all those countries all over. Also, some interactive stuff.
Advanced Training Lab - An astronaut's work is never done! Further your training and even create a space-age postcard in this interactive play area.
The American Adventure - A 30-minute stage show chronicling our illustrations past and boundless future through Audio-Animatronics, film, and music.
Captain EO - Starring, Michael Jackson, Join the King of Pop as he and his ragtag space crew bumble, sing, and dance their way through a cosmic crusade to save the day.
Ellen's Energy Adventure - Be entertained and enlightened on this zany 45-minute multimedia romp through time and Ellen DeGeneres's subconscious.
Impressions de France - An 18-minute film showcasing the grandeur, charm, and romance of one of Europe's most enchanting countries. And, there is a ton more that I'm not going to get into. There is just too much to list. But, yeah, there's a lengthy preview of what Epcot has to offer. And, let me finish it with Epcot's firework display over the lake with the revolving, moving, and opening globe.
It's pretty cool, but not as good as the Magic Kingdom fireworks display. So, Epcot is a great park to go to, and I highly recommend doing so.
